RS DOMES
A monogram built like a dome
RS Domes builds geodesic domes and other renewable structures. The client asked for an identity based on the initials S and R, and for a black and gold palette. The two letters became one mark, locked inside a hexagon taken from the geometry of the domes themselves, so the logo is put together the same way the buildings are.

Project overview
RS Domes is a company working in renewable structures and dome construction. The identity covers the logo, the typeface and colour palette, stationery, interior and exterior signage, staff identification, uniform and site gear.
The idea behind the mark
The client asked for the identity to be based on the initials S and R from the company name. The letters were combined into a single mark and placed within a hexagonal form, inspired by the geometric structures commonly used in dome construction. That shape reinforces the idea of strength and structure, so the mark is assembled the same way the buildings are, while the overall form stays clean and architectural.
Typography
Montserrat carries the identity. Its even, geometric letterforms sit comfortably next to the built quality of the mark, and set as widely spaced capitals they give the brand lines a calm, considered voice.
Colour
At the client’s request, a black and gold palette was used to give the identity a more premium, high-end feel. The palette is a warm gold at D9B262 and a deeper bronze at 9A6428 against black at 000000.
Applications
The identity runs across stationery, with a folder, letterhead, envelope and business cards; across signage, both a dimensional interior sign and an illuminated exterior one standing beside the domes; and across the people who work there, on staff ID badges, a black and gold polo shirt, a branded hard hat, notebooks and printed brochures. The lines that carry it are “Building a sustainable tomorrow” and “People, structures, a brighter world”.
