LOLIVO

Selling the room before the table

A fine-dining experience begins long before the guest sits down, but most restaurant websites lose that feeling to outdated templates and generic booking widgets. Lolivo is a landing page designed to carry the atmosphere of the room into the browser, so that deciding to book feels like the natural next step rather than a form to fill in.

Project overview

Lolivo is a UI design for a fine-dining restaurant, made to translate the atmosphere of a high-end dining experience into a digital space. A restrained palette, refined typography, considered spacing and atmospheric photography let the interface communicate warmth, quality and quiet luxury.

The challenge

A fine-dining experience begins long before the guest arrives at the table, yet many restaurant websites fail to capture that sense of quality, relying on outdated templates or generic booking interfaces. The challenge was to establish a feeling of warmth, sophistication and exclusivity from the very first interaction, so that deciding to book becomes a natural next step.

Design solution

I built the interface around atmosphere, hierarchy and simplicity. A dark, immersive hero creates an immediate sense of intimacy, while generous spacing and carefully framed food photography give the content room to breathe. Clear navigation and strategically placed booking calls to action keep the experience effortless, balancing the visual richness of the brand with the functionality guests actually need.

Colour

Four ramps carry the identity: a black and neutral scale led by 1c1917, a primary terracotta at bf5b27, a secondary gold at ecb321 and a warm grey-brown at b5aba3. Every step is documented with its hex and RGB value and its contrast rating, so the palette holds up against WCAG AA and AAA rather than only looking right.

Typography

Playfair Display carries the headings, from a 48px H1 on 64 down to a 24px H4, with Lato for subtitles and body text from 18px down to 14px. The pairing gives the page a serif voice for the brand and a quiet, legible one for everything a guest needs to read.
